It is with excitement that I start my dental blogging journey. I have been looking forward to starting this blog for some time now and hope that you find these posts, ranging from debunking common dental myths to highlighting new technology, to be informative and meaningful.
As you may already know, the DeRose Dental Office was started in the 1950s by my maternal grandparents. They were immigrants and pioneers, and to them we owe much of our office legacy. Both of their daughters, Dr. Nicolet DeRose (my aunt) and Dr. Francesca DeRose (my mother) proudly followed in their footsteps as pediatric and general dentists, respectively. In June of 2017, I joined the practice as the third generation of dentists in our family. I feel honored and humbled to be carrying on the tradition.
I believe that lifelong learning is the quintessential "Fountain of Youth." Each day I strive to learn something new, whether about a patient and their experience with dental care, the art of my profession or anything in-between. As I learn new things, and develop new ways of understanding things I already know, I hope to share them with you so we can grow together.
To quote Dr. Suess,
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
